RAYMOND MOORE
[1920 - 1987] was an important post-war English art photographer.
Photographs, and particularly groups of photographs, can serve as catalysts to thought and feeling, their limits are measured simply by the person taking them. Whether the viewer’s reaction is exactly the same as the photographer’s is immaterial, as long as the photographs are sufficiently provocative to produce some reaction and increased awareness. - Raymond Moore - Cited in: “Creative Camera International Year Book 1977”, Coo Press, London, 1976, p. 11.
