To some extent, the cult surrounding black-and-white photography is based on nostalgia.
What counts is putting the intensity that you yourself have experienced into the picture. Otherwise it is just a document.
My first Leica became my third eye and through that I could discover the world. I wanted to investigate every nook and cranny!

Photography is not simple documentation. Even though it's mechanical, you should use the camera for the expression of some kind of feeling - empathy, sympathy, love, hate or whatever it is. And if you don't capture it in the moment, it doesn't get stronger afterwards. While photographing, you have to employ your mind, your soul and your heart!
